DESCRIPTION:We are excited about what the Lord has in store for us in the coming Annual Family Conference.  Each year conference is a refreshing time for the whole family to grow and be encouraged together. \nThis year we have Dr and Mrs Fredrickson and two of their daughters coming out to share with us.  Here is some information about them:  Dwight and Laura Fredrickson are presently on staff at the Institute in Basic Life Principles and have served in a variety of roles in the IBLP ministry over the years (Laura since 1975 and Dwight since 1984). They married while serving on staff and the Lord has blessed them with six children and nine grandchildren. Two of their daughters\, Sophia and Heidi\, will be travelling with them to participate in the upcoming Family Conferences in Australia and New Zealand in January. They all look forward to meeting and encouraging parents and young people in walking with the Lord. \nOn Sunday night and one session Monday morning we are blessed to have been able to be have Dr Mark Harwood from Creation Ministries coming to speak. With over 30 years experience as an engineer and scientist in the Australian telecommunications industry\, Mark played a key role in the development of Australia’s national satellite system from its inception in 1980. Mark is an excellent and engaging communicator\, who can clear away the confusion that many have on the issue of origins and how it affects our views of the world today. We are so grateful that they will be here to share with us once again and also to run Student Conference following Family Conference. \nNeil Smith will also be giving us some live sessions. He is a pastor from Brisbane who homeschooled all his children. He is a very good speaker and communicator with people\, and especially engaging when speaking with young people.\n\nAdd to all this the fellowship and encouragement giving by meeting together with like minded people\, makes Annual Family Conference 2020 an experience not to be missed. DESCRIPTION:For the ADULTS: on Thursday and Friday from 7:30 – 9:00 pm (EST) there will be a link to a special page on our website with pre-recorded items from other families\, a message and some sharing from individuals.  We are even looking forward to seeing some of our past visitors from overseas drop by with an encouraging message. We will be watching Jobe Martin’s session “Seeking the Lord in a Storm”  and Aaron Baker’s “The Forgotten Communicator”. Each evening after the message there will be a link to a Zoom meeting where you can join others in prayer and fellowship.\nOn Saturday from 7:30 – 9:00 pm there will be a fellowship evening. This will be a zoom meeting where we will be going in and out of break out rooms so that you all can fellowship with other attendees. DESCRIPTION:We are excited about what the Lord has in store for us in the coming Annual Family Conference.  Each year conference is a refreshing time for the whole family to grow and be encouraged together.  Even though we have been delayed this year\, we are all the more eager to spend this time together. \nThis year we are not able to have our usual international speakers which has enabled us to get some great speakers together from right here in Australia. Speakers like Kevin Currell\, Jordan Stoyanoff\, Taylor Coombe and more to be confirmed soon.  We will also be sharing messages from the family conferences in the USA. \nEach speaker has a message to share about the calling of Christ that we ‘Abide in Him’\, and practically what this might look like in our daily lives. \nOne difference to note is that due to Covid-19 we are not sure what restrictions will be in place for providing meals.  We will update you as closer to the time with information as to whether or not we will be able to do this. \nOur children’s programs of Sunbeams (ages 2-5)\, Pathfinders (ages 6-12)\, and Innovators (ages 13-14) will be running\, so your children can look forward to more great times of fellowship and learning. What will the Pathfinder theme be this year? DESCRIPTION:We thank the Lord for His provision of a silver lining to the decision to cancel our Family Conference for late June. We will now be hosting an online get-together on Friday the 2nd!\nThere are three sessions on offer and all for FREE for ATI Families or $5 for all three sessions for a guest family! \nSessions on offer: \n\n2:00PM – 3:30PM Advanced Training Institute (ATI) Interest Session for those interested in exploring joining ATI. This session will be run by Rod Evans\, our director of ministries and an ATI dad with many years experience. This session is for those curious about what ATI is really about and how the Wisdom Booklets work as a curriculum.\n4:00PM – 5:00PM How to Write Your School Year Plan Using the Wisdom Booklets. This is a session to enable all home-schooling families to be able to write up their school year plan for each child\, especially in regards to the Wisdom Booklets.  Anita Reynolds and Glenda Boissevain will be happy to answer questions and explore ideas together with you. Together they have many years experience in using the ATI material and have just recently been working on an outline to aid families in forming a year plan from the Wisdom Booklets that covers all the 8 key learning areas the government is requiring.\n7:00PM – 9:30PM Evening Session with Kevin Currell. Kevin Currell is the current Principle of the Victorian Baptist Bible College\, and loves to share his extensive knowledge of Bible lands and customs. We look forward to his entertaining teaching style\, which makes his messages enjoyable for all ages. We will follow the session with times of fellowship and prayer\, so that we can all have a chance to share and be encouraged by our friends.\n\nAll the sessions will be run via Zoom so you should be able to not only see the speaker/facilitator\, but also catch up with the others attending. DESCRIPTION:In our world were it seems our plans are ever changing\, isn’t it great to know that God’s Word will never change. Even though we have had to change plans yet again\, we hope that you will still be able to join us for time spent sharing God’s Word with each other. This is a wonderful opportunity to encourage each other to be more dedicated to our memorization and to learn from others handy hints to memorization. Not only that but there are prizes to be won as well! \n2019’s  Scripture Memory Bee was such a blessing to all who attended\, and though we missed doing it again in 2020 due to the ever changing Covid restrictions\, we are still looking forward to holding one this year. We all loved having a day spent listening as each contestant recited the WORD that they had hidden in their heart.  This year we are looking forward to a similar great time\, even though it will be in an online format. \nEven if you do not have passages pre-memorised\, join in and participate in some extra activities as we learn some verses together with games and other activities. These along with listening to others share their memorisation will inspire all who attend to spend more time building the Word of God into our lives. \nEach contestant will submit their selected verses and the version they have memorized in beforehand and on one of the evenings will recite them before the group. It is important that participants let us know the version they memorized in so that we can check their accuracy with that version.  Judges will check their work as they recite and then give them a score based on the number of verse\, and the accuracy of the recitation. First\, second and third prizes will be given for all categories.  Once you register our office staff will be in contact with you to receive the information about the verses and version you will be reciting. \nContestant categories are:\nPreschool\nAges 6-10\nAges 11-16\nAges 17+\nfamilies \nEach evening we will be looking to start the Zoom meeting by 7:30 and will see how many contestants’ recitations we can fit in the first 45 min and then play a game all together and use the rest of the time until 9:00 to hear more contestants. This will be the schedule for all three evenings of November 8th-11th\, and we will be looking to hear from each group each night. If we can hear everyone’s recitations in that time we will be announcing the winners on the 11th. However\, we may need another evening if we get lots of entries so we are holding open the option of continuing this event on the evening of the 12th.  \nCost: $20 per ATI family\, $30 per non-ATI family or $10 per individual.
